For centuries, Sora X resisted permanent settlement due to its unforgiving climate, relentless sandstorms, and extreme temperatures. While several early colonies and trading outposts were established, none endured for long.
The world found its true purpose when the Protectorate relocated its College to Sora X more than five centuries ago. Rather than attempting to overcome the planet’s harsh conditions, the Protectorate embraced them, transforming the environment itself into an essential part of Protector training. Today, Sora X is recognized throughout the Empire as the birthplace of generations of Protectors.

Among Protectors, a long-standing saying persists:
“You do not conquer Sora X. It simply decides whether you may remain.”
